Posted by car-craz

Pocket bikes may be something new for most people, but they have actually been around for some time. As early as the 1950’s, there has been some form of miniature motorized bikes. Pocket bikes took a turn as they became extremely popular in Japan, and were quickly picked up by the European market.

By now, almost everyone has seen a pocket bike. Some people may think it’s a toy, and some people may see it as a real motorcycle, only smaller. The truth is, pocket bikes and super pocket bikes are really machines of a sport that has been sweeping Europe and Japan for over 5 years now.

Chopper mini bikes are nothing less than amazing. These machines really make your eyes pop out. The attention to detail, chrome touches and custom paint jobs add to the overall eye appeal. Some are even street legal, how cool is that! The look of the American Mini Choppers with the vibration and feel created by the gas powered motor, high speeds and the easy controls make for an ideal ride.

So what is the difference between a pocket bike & a super pocket bike? A pocket bike is smaller in size and lighter in weight. If you have ever dreamed of competing in a motorcycle race or event, the smaller pocket bike is the way to go. It accelerates very fast, reaches the redline in a matter of a few seconds and have a very flat torque curves. This is ideal for racing. These smaller pocket bikes also have less bells-and-whistles for the sake of weight reduction.

Many adults purchase pocket bikes for their children. Depending on the age and size of your child, a super pocket bike may be the way to go. Because of the super pocket bike’s larger size, kids may be able to understand a bike’s physics a bit better than a smaller one. And many of them have hydraulic brakes and working switches, horn and lights which also lends to the quick adaptation to full size motorcycles. Super pocket bikes are definitely more challenging to ride than smaller bikes. But by no means are they difficult to ride. As with everything, there is a learning curve. As long as the rider knows how to ride a bicycle, there should not be a problem riding any super pocket bike or its smaller version.
